Responsibilities
• Manage limited conservatorship matters, including drafting, filing, and court representation
• Handle probate cases from initial petitions through administration and hearings
• Conduct estate planning consultations to assess client needs and develop tailored strategies
• Draft estate planning documents, including trusts, wills, and powers of attorney
• Appear in court for probate and conservatorship proceedings
• Collaborate with a distributed legal team to ensure smooth case progression
• Receive mentorship in special needs planning and guide families through sensitive matters
Skills
• Active California Bar license
• Experience handling probate and/or limited conservatorships
• Confidence appearing in court remotely
• Strong legal drafting, research, and communication skills
• Ability to manage matters independently while collaborating with a remote team
• Compassionate, client-focused mindset with strong professionalism
• Interest in growing skills related to special needs and disability planning
