They are seeking a California-licensed Litigation Attorney with 1–3 years of experience to manage trust and estate litigation matters and provide hands-on litigation experience from intake through resolution.
Responsibilities
- Manage assigned trust and estate litigation matters with appropriate oversight
- Draft and file pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery
- Conduct legal research and contribute to case strategy
- Handle discovery, including meet-and-confer efforts and depositions
- Prepare for and appear at hearings, mediations, and court proceedings
- Communicate proactively and clearly with clients
- Collaborate with paralegals and staff to ensure deadlines and filings are met
Skills
- J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
- Active California Bar license in good standing
- 1–3 years of litigation experience with increasing independence
- Strong legal writing, research, and oral advocacy skills
- Experience with discovery and court appearances
- Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines
- Professional, client-focused demeanor and sound judgment
