Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Java Developer to join our team at American Airlines. Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement large-scale applications
- Maintain and improve existing enterprise services, applications, and platforms using domain-driven design and test-driven development
- Troubleshoot complex issues and identify solutions
- Develop detailed project specifications, requirements, and estimates
- Investigate and implement new technologies to improve current processes, security, and performance
- Support the development of coding standards and adhere to best practices and security guidelines
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- 3 years of full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) experience designing, developing, and implementing large-scale applications in hosted production environments
- 3 years of professional, design, and open-source experience
- Proficiency in Full Stack Development and experience with Java, JSP, JMS, JAXB, JDBC, EJB, and other relevant technologies
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- 4 years of full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) experience
- Aircraft industry experience
- Experience with Agile methodologies, DevOps Toolchain, and Cloud-based development
