Job Overview:
The Application Support Engineer role involves:
- Troubleshooting in-house and 3rd party applications, data mining, report building, and complex queries
- Collaborating with customers and internal teams to resolve high-severity incidents
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with business partners to identify pain points and improve services
- Communicating updates and progress to key stakeholders, ensuring timely resolutions and exceeding customer expectations
- Participating in on-call and escalation rotations, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to customer satisfaction
Responsibilities:
As an Application Support Engineer, your key responsibilities will include:
- Leading complex troubleshooting and incident resolutions, leveraging your technical expertise and collaboration skills
- Demonstrating superior customer service, measured by customer surveys and satisfaction ratings
- Creating and maintaining detailed documentation, including root cause analysis and issue resolution
- Collaborating with engineering teams, business analysts, and project managers to drive issue resolution and process improvements
- Developing reports using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and Logi, analyzing data to identify trends and areas for improvement
Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- 5+ years of application support experience in a production environment, with a strong understanding of software development lifecycles (SDLC)
- Technical expertise in SQL, Oracle, XML, JSON, PL/SQL, and C#
- Excellent customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Experience working in supply chain, WMS, WCS, WES, or other relevant positions (preferred)
