Overview
We are a small, busyCPA firm with commercial real estate development multi-state clients. We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Certified Public Accountant (CPA) specializing in real estate partnership taxation to join our team. The ideal candidate will manage all aspects of tax compliance, planning and advisory services for a portfolio of real estate partnerships and high net-worth clients, ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local tax laws and identifying tax-saving opportunities. Remote position - 20 to 30 hours per week
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare and review complex partnership tax returns, including all related schedules forreal estate entities.
• Conduct in-depth tax research and analysis of tax laws and regulations to provide accurate and strategic tax planning advice to clients.
• Specialize in real estate-specific tax strategies, such as depreciation recapture calculations,1031 exchanges, cost segregation studies,and passive activity loss limitations.
• Manage the preparation and maintenance of accurate financial records and work papers supporting the tax returns.
Qualifications and Skills
• Batchelor's degree in accounting
• Active CPA license
• Proven experience in public accounting, with a strong focus on real estate taxation and partnership tax returns.
• Proficient in accounting and tax software - QuickBooks, Excel, and Ultra Tax
