About the Job: Principal Cybersecurity - Proxy and Web Content Filtering Engineer
This is a hands-on technical job that requires an experienced candidate with extensive experience creating policy, tuning, and administration using various technologies such as F5, Forcepoint, Broadcom, and squid. As a Principal Cybersecurity - Proxy and Web Content Filtering Engineer, you will play a critical role in engineering, deploying, and operating premise and cloud-based proxy solutions, including CASB, SWG, and ZTNA.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engineer, deploy, configure, and maintain forward proxy solutions
- Develop advanced alerts/reports to meet requirements of key stakeholders
- Develop automation for security tools management and workflow integration
- Collaborate with key stakeholders within Information Security and Engineering teams to develop specific use cases to address specific business requirements
- Create and implement best practices for proxy rules/signatures to mitigate threats
- Create and implement custom alerting dashboards in SIEM for investigations
- Work extensively with stakeholders across AT&T to tune proxy policies
- Aid in gathering, presenting metrics for measuring performance and risk
- Provide ongoing support to existing monitoring capabilities and data collection systems
- Provide development support for the expansion and implementation of new systems
- Lead troubleshooting efforts in complex issues involving multiple platforms and network flows
Essential Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience in Cybersecurity engineering with experience configuring, operating, and managing premise and cloud-based forward proxies
- Extensive experience providing SME level support in large, highly dynamic enterprise environment
- Proxy/Security Experience: Engineering, administrative experience of F5, Forcepoint, Broadcom, squid platforms
- Moderate level experience with SSE (CASB/SWG/ZTNA)
- Solid understanding and practical experience with web applications, web platforms, application firewalls, frameworks, and protocols with respect to application development, deployment, and operation
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, web protocols, and networking concepts
- Expertise with mainstream operating systems, web services, programming languages, network devices, and attack vectors
- Advanced expertise reviewing and analyzing log files, data correlation, and packet captures
- Script writing and programming using common shell and mainstream languages
- Senior-level understanding of PKI Technology
- Working knowledge of open-source and commercial application security tools and frameworks
Cyber Defense and Incident Response:
- Solid understanding of Incident Response process
- Prior experience in Cybersecurity operations and Incident Response
- Working-level understanding of Cybersecurity operations and processes
Educational, Certifications, and Other:
- Excellent communication skills, including metrics/performance documentation/presentation, technical drawing/architecture origination, and modification
- Operates well under pressure and urgent circumstances
- Self-reliant and diligent in follow-through for assigned tasks
- Ability to work with a geographically disperse team
- Engaged collaborator, contributor, and team player
- CISSP, CISM, SANS GIAC, GWEB, or relevant cybersecurity or technical certification
- Prefers Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in engineering, computer science, information security/systems

Work Environment and Company Culture:
We offer a dynamic work environment with a hybrid schedule requiring three minimum days office presence per week. This position is only available in Alpharetta, GA, and Dallas, TX. Full-time remote work is not offered. Our company culture values innovation, teamwork, and employee growth.
Compensation and Benefits:
Our Principal Cybersecurity engineers earn between $141,300 - $211,900 per year, depending on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including:
