This role offers the opportunity to engage in high-level intellectual property matters, focusing on drafting and prosecuting patents related to electrical engineering, computer science, and cutting-edge technologies. Location: ? Houston, TX Duties: ? Draft and prosecute patent applications in the fields of electrical engineering, software, and computer science. ? Handle patent litigation matters, providing expert guidance to clients. ? Advise clients on intellectual property strategies, portfolio development, and protection. ? Conduct patentability, infringement, and validity analyses. ? Represent clients before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). ? Collaborate with cross-functional teams on prosecution and litigation cases. Requirements: ? Experience in intellectual property law, with a focus on patent prosecution and litigation. ? Strong background in electrical engineering, computer science, or a related technical field. ? Design engineering experience in chip companies is a plus. ? Preference for expertise in networking, software, and wireless technologies (3G/4G/5G). ? Associate and Patent Agent candidates must be admitted to the USPTO and have 2-6 years of experience. ? All candidates must be a member of the USPTO. Education: ? Relevant undergraduate degree (e.g., Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field). Certifications: ? USPTO registration required for all candidates. Skills: ? Exceptional written and oral communication abilities. ? Strong organizational and analytical skills. ?
