Experienced Virtual Special Education Teacher for K-12 Students

Deliver personalized and group instruction tailored to the unique needs of students with disabilities. ? Create, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), setting goals and tracking progress to support each student's growth. ? Partner with general education teachers, parents, and specialists to support students? academic and social-emotional development. ? Conduct assessments to understand students? needs and abilities, adjusting instructional strategies as necessary. ? Use virtual teaching tools and platforms to create an engaging remote learning environment. ? Ensure all services comply with state and federal special education regulations and guidelines. ? Maintain open communication with students, parents, and staff regarding student progress and needs. ? Participate in ongoing professional development to stay updated with the latest best practices in special education and virtual instruction. Qualifications ? Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field (Master's degree preferred). ? Valid teaching certification in Special Education in Alaska. ? Experience working with students with disabilities, ideally in a virtual or remote setting. ? Strong understanding of special education laws, regulations, and best practices. ? Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. ? Proficiency with virtual communication tools and technology. ? Ability to work independently and manage a remote caseload effectively. Benefits ?
