We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Bill Review Specialist for a REMOTE position. In this role, you will be responsible for the precise entry and analysis of CMS-1500 and UB-04 medical bills within the review system. You will act as a critical line of defense against billing inaccuracies by auditing charges for medical necessity, verifying alignment with regulatory fee schedules, and identifying potential fraud or coding errors. This is a fast-paced position that requires the ability to manage multiple project schedules, adapt to evolving client workflows, and consistently hit daily productivity targets. This postion will be a remote position but requires candidates to work in central or eastern time zones. This is a contract project for 90- 120 days.

Responsibilities
• Accurately input medical billing data (CMS-1500 and UB-04 forms) into the proprietary bill review system.
• Audit & Compliance: Review medical charges for necessity and accuracy, ensuring all billing aligns with fee schedules, regulatory mandates, and coding standards.
• Identify billing discrepancies, errors, or potential fraud to ensure financial accuracy.
• Execute review functions in strict accordance with evolving client-specific guidelines and internal workflows.
• Revenue Recovery: Leverage expertise in provider billing and patient accounting to identify new opportunities for overpayment recovery.
• Maintain rigorous project schedules and consistently meet or exceed daily productivity benchmarks.
• Actively participate in team scrums and planning sessions, providing clear reports on audit findings to management.
