About the position

Responsibilities

  • Provide and ensure customer-focused activities, deliverables, and services.
  • Manage daily activities resulting in continuous efficiency and process improvements.
  • Properly load delivery truck, trailer, or customer vehicle.
  • Use a combination of forklift vehicle, overhead crane, and manual labor to perform tasks.
  • Fill orders per shipping documents according to size, amount, and weight and stage material at appropriate bay area.
  • Accurately and efficiently assemble and package work orders.
  • Keep production mills supplied with raw materials to prevent work stoppages.
  • Receive and unload incoming material from vendor trucks.
  • Complete required administrative reports.
  • Maintain accurate coil inventory.
  • Assist in cycle counts.
  • Assist in the movement of parts within and among workstations and work areas.
  • Perform safety inspections on all forklift vehicles, overhead cranes, and yard trucks.
  • Comply with all safety requirements and use all applicable personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Clean work area daily and perform preventative maintenance and equipment checks.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds on a frequent basis.
  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Must be able to become certified to operate forklift vehicle and overhead crane.
  • Forklift experience a plus.
  • A combination of education and experience may be qualifying.
