About Linden Grove Mentoring
Linden Grove Mentoring (“LGM”) is a non-profit ministry dedicated to mentoring pastors, church leaders, and
their spouses. Through one-on-one mentoring, cohort-based learning, and development of a supportive
leadership community, we equip our mentees for Christlike resilient ministry.
Founded in September 2020, LGM has grown rapidly by the grace of God. As we enter a new season of expansion,
we seek a Lead Mentor who, in addition to leading their own cohorts, will train and steward adjunct mentors to
successfully lead one-on-one mentoring and cohort-based learning. Our staff and adjunct mentors live and work
remotely in several states.
About the Position
The Lead Mentor serves as the primary mentor for LGM. In addition, the Lead Mentor works with the Executive
Director to provide strategic direction and develop curriculum and techniques to preserve LGM’s distinctive
mentoring ethos.
The Lead Mentor ensures that LGM trains, promotes, and encourages passing on the mentoring ethos through its
adjunct mentors, and does so with integrity and clarity.
The Lead Mentor works closely with LGM’s Co-Founders and reports directly to the Executive Director.
Key Responsibilities
1. Provide strategic direction on expanding the mentoring ethos while ensuring that LGM remains
true to its vision, mission, and distinctives, and in cooperation with the Executive Director, act as
the “mentoring” face of LGM.
2. Maintain, improve, and revise the mentoring program, including developing a supportive
leadership community.
3. Hire and train adjunct mentors.
4. Oversee the adjunct mentors and their one-on-one mentoring and mentee cohorts.
5. Oversee ministry to mentors and mentees, maintain relationships, meet for occasional personal
hours, and oversee the planning and execution of specific topical training seminars.
6. Mentor at least one cohort, which includes group and one-on-ones, at all times.
Key Qualifications and Requirements
1. Embody the biblical qualifications of an elder, demonstrating mature Christlike character,
humility, integrity, and spiritual credibility.
2. Affirm LGM’s doctrinal statement and mission, wholeheartedly supporting its theological
commitments, mentoring philosophy, and distinctives.
3. At least 15 years’ experience as a local church pastor.
4. Have demonstrated mentoring experience with evidence of sustained investment in the
mentees.
Terms of Employment
This is a full-time position, and compensation is commensurate with experience and comparable to full-time
ministry leadership positions. Employment with LGM is at will. This is a a US based position.
