We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Front-End Engineer to lead the redesign, rebrand, and modernization of a major digital gift card platform. This role will focus on elevating the user experience through mobile-first optimization, performance enhancements, and embedded promotional tools. A critical part of the role involves building and documenting reusable UI components in Storybook and integrating with Contentful, the platform’s CMS. The ideal candidate is a hands-on React expert who thrives in fast-paced environments and has experience collaborating across distributed teams and directly with clients.
Lead the front-end redesign and rebranding of a widely used digital gifting application
Optimize mobile usability, responsiveness, and performance across devices
Integrate gift cards as a native component within a larger fintech ecosystem
Improve digital setup and customer experience to boost activation and engagement
Develop high-quality, reusable UI components using Storybook
Implement and maintain CMS integrations using Contentful
Ensure accessibility compliance (WCAG standards) across all front-end implementations
Write and maintain unit tests using React Testing Library and Jest
Collaborate with product, design, and backend teams across global regions
Communicate effectively with client stakeholders and internal teams
5+ years of front-end development experience, with at least 2 years in a lead role
Storybook (for component development and documentation)
Contentful (or similar headless CMS platforms)
Tailwind CSS or other utility-first frameworks
React Testing Library / Jest (unit testing)
Strong command of accessibility (WCAG) standards and best practices
Excellent client-facing communication and collaboration skills
Experience working with distributed/remote teams
Demonstrated ability to deliver scalable, performant front-end applications
