Job Description
We're seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Hotline and Customer Care Operator to join our team. As a key member of our wellness hotline, you will play a critical role in providing psychological first aid and crisis support to our clients. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in people's lives and contribute to our mission of prioritizing mental health.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide psychological first aid and crisis counselling to crisis callers using English, Cantonese/Mandarin, and Japanese (strongly preferred)
- Ensure the resolution of crisis situations according to the available protocols
- Oversee operation and management of wellness hotline services (attend, de-escalate/escalate and intervene)
- Support clinical team in administrative processes and psychological case management
- Support operations in other day-to-day tasks e.g., desktop research, data entry, easy translations as needed (10-20% of time)
About You
We're looking for a highly skilled and compassionate individual who is passionate about mental health and wellness. The ideal candidate will have:
- Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and management
- Ability to think critically and solve problems in a timely and effective manner
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
- Commitment to upholding the highest standards of privacy and ethics in handling sensitive data
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to speak Japanese and/or Cantonese/Mandarin
- Some knowledge of Psychology is preferred but not compulsory as training will be provided
