Job Summary

As a Part-time Insurance Verification Specialist, you'll work in a friendly and casual remote environment, handling inbound and outbound telephone calls with potential customers. Your primary goal will be to accurately document information on our database and provide excellent customer service. Key Responsibilities

• Daily Responsibilities:
  • Maneuver within the Quality Assurance database to conduct assessments and determine what additional information or verification is needed.
  • Handle inbound and outbound calls to potential customers, verifying and documenting required information to finalize applications for underwriting assessment.
  • Accurately document information and properly document non-contact attempts within the Quality Assurance Database.
  • Explain the application process to potential customers and accurately complete additional paperwork when needed.
  • Maintain communication with supervision regarding actions taken within the Quality Assurance database and transfer calls to the appropriate department as needed.
  • Meet minimum expectations for departmental key performance indicators (KPI's) and maintain reliable and predictable attendance.
• Occasional Responsibilities:
  • Participate in special projects that may require making numerous outbound calls, recording activities requested by/from customers, and other tasks.

Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed as a Part-time Insurance Verification Specialist, you'll need:

• Essential Qualifications:
  • Bilingual English and/or Spanish preferred.
  • Minimum typing requirement of 35 wpm.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Superior customer service skills, with a friendly and efficient approach.
  • Proficient use of computer, keyboard functions, and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to multi-task and work under pressure.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a desire to learn and grow within the company.
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and spelling.
