Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Customer Service Representative at blithequark, your key responsibilities will include:
- Receiving and responding to telephone calls, emails, and in-person inquiries from customers, providing accurate and timely information on tax-related matters
- Conducting detailed research on property tax information, including complex taxpayer problems, court cases, condemnation suits, and other research projects
- Maintaining confidential taxpayer files and documents, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality at all times
- Processing payment transactions related to property tax receipts, including receiving, accounting, and recording payments from individual taxpayers and mortgage companies
- Calculating interest and penalty charges on delinquent accounts, researching and preparing payment adjustment forms for tax refunds and re-applications
- Assisting with daily updates to the tax roll, including changes in ownership, values, exemptions, and legal descriptions
- Providing training and support to personnel assigned to the division, sharing knowledge and expertise to ensure a high level of customer service
- Performing varied customer service functions, including liaison for volunteer groups and taxpayers in specialty areas, collection efforts on delinquent taxes, and clerical tasks
Essential Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Two (2) years of work experience in a clerical or office administration setting, or a related field
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to research and resolve complex tax-related issues
- High level of organization and attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accurate and confidential records

Preferred Qualifications
