Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop teams effectively by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates, touring stores, and providing feedback to ensure exceptional customer service and operational excellence.
- Communicate and collaborate with all levels of associates regarding store operations, business initiatives, merchandising, and company direction to drive sales growth and profitability.
- Model and demonstrate exceptional customer service standards to store associates, following and demonstrating the One Best Way (OBW) service model, and ensuring customer needs, complaints, and issues are successfully resolved.
- Drive financial performance and sales of the designated store area by reviewing and evaluating P&L statements, managing and assisting in budgeting, forecasting, and controlling expenses, and developing and implementing action plans to mitigate shrink and achieve sales and profit goals.
- Provide supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates, including hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, setting clear expectations, providing associate recognition, and communicating expectations consistently and effectively.
- Coordinate, complete, and oversee job-related activities and assignments by developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, supporting plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs, and identifying and communicating goals and objectives.
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following essential qualifications:
- 2 years of college or 1 year of retail experience and 1 year of supervisory experience, or 2 years of general work experience and 1 year of supervisory experience.
- Ability to lead and develop high-performing teams, drive sales growth, and ensure operational excellence.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Ability to model and demonstrate exceptional customer service standards and ensure customer needs, complaints, and issues are successfully resolved.
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following preferred qualifications will be considered an asset:
- Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University, or a Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University.
- General work experience supervising 5 or more direct reports, with responsibility for performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
- Experience in retail operations, customer service, or a related field, with a proven track record of driving sales growth and ensuring operational excellence.
