This role is an integral part of our Payments and Digital Strategy team at arenaflex Credit Union. As a Member Services Representative, you will be responsible for daily functions related to check processing, item processing, direct bills, and fund transfers at arenaflex Credit Union. Key Responsibilities

• Complete data entry and balancing functions with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Coordinate return items with members, vendors, the Federal Reserve Bank, and other institutions.
• Assist other departments with fraud resolution, member inquiries, and related Accounting standard ledger balancing.
• Work member cases/sports assigned, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
• Follow and maintain guidelines and procedures to ensure strict compliance with NACHA regulations and guidelines and Federal Banking laws.
• Process loan payments, multi-account and member deposits, credit card payments, and other checks, including IRA, bankruptcy, and payoff checks.
• Review, examine, and approve Remote Deposit, Mobile, ATM, and other imaged-enabled products.
• Log, report, and make necessary GL, account changes and/or returns.
• Process Stop Pays and Check Batching, ensuring efficient and accurate processing.
• Complete daily balancing and department closing, maintaining accurate records and reports.
• Obtain information from members for timely and accurate processing of international and domestic fund transfer requests.
• Research and confirm incoming and outgoing fund transfer information, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
• Communicate with vendors to process fund transfers, providing excellent customer service and support.
• Understand and be familiar with outgoing and incoming fund transfer laws, regulations, and procedures.
• Deposit check returns, research member bad checks on draft changes, process member checks, confirm members for outgoing fund transfers, and Federal Reserve verifying and releasing fund transfers.
• Complete daily processing of workflows associated with late returns, supply of receipts, foreign collections, and legal fees.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A high school diploma or GED.
• Intermediate Excel and Word skills, with the ability to learn and adapt to new software and systems.
• Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple responsibilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with team members, vendors, and members.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with minimal supervision.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:

• Previous customer/member service experience, with a focus on delivering exceptional service and support.
• Previous banking or Credit Union experience, with knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and procedures.
• Episys/Symitar and processing wires experience, with the ability to learn and adapt to new software and systems.
• Skilled in Microsoft Office software (e.g., Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), with the ability to learn and adapt to new software and systems.
