About the Role
In this Remote Customer Service/Sales Representative role, you'll be a Retention Specialist who plays a critical part in the growth of our organization. Your primary goal will be to retain customers who want to cancel their services by providing award-winning customer experiences, identifying opportunities, and recommending long-term solutions. You'll handle a high volume of incoming calls, act as an expert problem solver, and leverage your sales experience to persuade and upsell customers while reducing frustration and displeasure.
Key Responsibilities
- Utilize customer service and sales experience daily to retain customers and increase brand loyalty
- Save the business by re-selling customers on the value of blithequark's services and what matters most to them
- Handle back-to-back calls with care, empathy, and professionalism to ensure the best customer experience
- Use attention to detail, active listening, and problem-solving skills to uncover customer issues and concerns
- Leverage exceptional de-escalation skills to resolve difficult customer situations and provide multiple offers to meet their needs
- Retain long-term business for blithequark through customer service commitments and provide the right solutions to save customers
- Consistently improve performance and achieve goals through ongoing training and development
- Maintain knowledge of blithequark's policies, products, services, and systems, as well as the wireless industry and competitive landscape
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- 2+ years of experience in a sales role, with a focus on customer retention and sales performance
- 2+ years of call center customer service/sales experience, with a proven track record of success
- High school diploma, GED, college degree, or some college experience
- Ability to work with numerous screens and programs open to resolve customer issues
- Experience interpreting contracts and communicating terms and conditions
- Strong active listening, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:
- Previous experience in a retention or sales role, with a focus on customer loyalty and retention
- Knowledge of the smart home security industry and competitive landscape
- Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) software and other sales tools
