Job Overview: Customer Service Representative - P&C Licensed

Key Responsibilities:

  • Answer inbound calls from existing customers in a fast-paced call center-like environment, utilizing multiple programs and systems simultaneously to resolve their needs quickly and efficiently.
  • Develop and maintain a broad knowledge of insurance requirements and carrier guidelines across dozens of states and many carriers.
  • Answer questions related to coverages, billing, and policy history, providing clear and concise information to our customers.
  • Use a proactive approach to identify and assess customers' needs, offering our services to ensure each customer is placed best for their needs and creating opportunities for our in-house consultants to upsell, cross-sell, re-shop, and rewrite policies.
  • Resolve customer issues, process payments, answer questions, and process endorsements in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of the software, products, and processes used by the organization, staying up-to-date with the latest developments and updates.
  • Maintain high call quality (QA) score, process adherence, and productivity metrics, consistently meeting or exceeding performance targets.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to adapt to changing circumstances.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Resident state P&C license required, with a strong understanding of insurance principles and practices.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy when collecting and entering data, with a focus on quality and precision.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with customers, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
  • Two plus years of customer service experience in the non-standard market in a multi-insurance carrier/rater environment preferred, with a proven track record of success in a similar role.
  • Experience working in a high-volume and fast-paced call center environment, with the ability to thrive in a dynamic and rapidly changing setting.
  • Ability to multi-task using multiple screens, navigating several carrier platforms and systems simultaneously, with a strong focus on technology and innovation.
  • Strong, reliable internet connection, with a dedicated workspace that meets our technical requirements.
  • Proactive in one's own development, welcoming coaching and feedback as opportunities to improve and grow.
  • High energy and enjoys working in a combined team/goal-oriented environment, with a strong focus on collaboration and teamwork.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with named non-owner policies, understanding SR-22, and FR-44 state filings is a plus, with a strong understanding of specialized insurance products and services.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills are highly desired, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers who speak multiple languages.

  • A competitive starting salary range of $41,600.00-$43,680.00, depending on experience, plus a monthly incentive target of $500.
