Job Overview and Responsibilities
In this critical role, you will be responsible for the execution of medical services techniques and driving patient wellbeing results. You will execute patient mediation pharmacy programs, ensure compliance with clinical pharmacy services, and drive pharmacy financial performance by implementing pharmacy programs to maximize reimbursements while improving patient health outcomes. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out direct patient care programs, including Prescription Treatment Management programs, Vaccination Services, and Payer and Pharma Adherence and Clinical Projects
- Driving the execution of multiple strategies and projects to ensure business needs are being met
- Ensuring region pharmacies comply with regulatory compliance, standard operating procedures, and FDA guidelines
- Driving regional pharmacy financial performance by aligning business strategies to company financial objectives
- Implementing and executing patient intervention pharmacy programs to maximize financial performance
- Supporting efforts on enhancing patient experience by increasing focus on healthcare services (e.g., patient consultation, medication management, drug therapy reviews, and retail, clinical, or health services, such as vaccinations, disease state management, and Specialty programs)
- Providing expertise, resources, education, and support to pharmacists and field leadership
- Conducting data and clinical reviews and making necessary actions to ensure accuracy and appropriateness of prescriptions
- Reviewing drug accounts and patient profiles to ensure proper and safe medication treatment
- Providing individualized patient/supplier consultation
Essential Qualifications and Skills
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
- BS in Pharmacy or PharmD and at least one (1) year of experience in a retail pharmacy environment
- Current Pharmacist license as allowed by the appropriate state licensing authority
- Experience motivating colleagues to research and resolve issues
- Experience working with confidential information
- Able to work non-standard hours, which may include evenings, holidays, or weekends
- Experience using time management skills, such as prioritizing/planning and following details and meeting deadlines of multiple projects with varying completion dates
- Experience creating ways to achieve goals with minimal supervision, relying on oneself to complete objectives, and determining when escalation of issues is necessary
- Experience providing customer service to internal and external customers, including meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
While not required, the following preferred qualifications and skills will be considered an asset:
- Ability to obtain other state pharmacy licenses if necessary
- Knowledge of insurance plans
- Knowledge of computer operating systems, including Radio, Commitment, and Plus
- Basic level skill in Microsoft Excel (e.g., opening a workbook, inserting a row, selecting font and size, formatting cells as currency, using copy, paste, and save functions, adjusting text, selecting cells, renaming a worksheet, inserting a column, selecting a chart style, inserting a worksheet, setting borders, selecting page orientation, using spell check, or printing worksheets)
- Basic level skill in Microsoft PowerPoint (e.g., inserting, editing, hiding, and deleting slides, navigating between slides, expanding list level, adding, centering, and editing text, changing views, inserting a table or a note, moving objects, printing frame view, or running a slide show)
- Basic level skill in Microsoft Word (e.g., opening a document, cutting, copying, and editing text, selecting font type and size, changing margins and paragraph width, formatting, inserting shots, pictures, and dates, using find and replace, fix, spell check, track changes, review sheet, or print functions)
