Your expertise in online community management and chat moderation will be essential in maintaining a positive and inclusive environment, while also promoting the values of theological diversity and respect.
**Key Responsibilities**
As an Online Community Moderator for arenaflex's Festival of Homiletics 2025, your key responsibilities will include:
* Monitoring real-time chat conversations during the festival dates (May 8-16, 2025) to ensure that conversations remain respectful and follow the established Digital Covenant for the event
* Applying moderation guidelines with discernment, allowing for theological diversity while maintaining respect
* Addressing inappropriate content following established protocols
* Directing technical support issues to appropriate channels
* Documenting concerning interactions for the Customer Service team
* Collaborating with the event team via Slack for escalated situations
* Maintaining a light-touch moderation approach that prioritizes open dialogue and intervention only when necessary to maintain a respectful environment
**Moderation Approach**
As an Online Community Moderator for arenaflex's Festival of Homiletics 2025, you will be expected to adopt a light-touch moderation approach that prioritizes open dialogue and respect. This will involve:
* Differentiating between theological disagreement (permitted) and personal attacks (not permitted)
* Following established protocols for warnings and user management
* Making quick, fair judgments about appropriate content
* Maintaining a high level of diplomacy and respect in all interactions
**Required Qualifications**
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications:
* Excellent written communication skills with a diplomatic approach
* Familiarity with online community management and chat moderation

**Hours and Compensation**
