Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Facilities Technician to join our team in Farmer's Branch, TX. As a Facilities Technician, you will play a critical role in maintaining the upkeep of our facilities, ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment, and contributing to the overall success of our organization. This is a hybrid role that offers the flexibility to balance your time between our remote office and home, providing you with the autonomy to work in a setting that suits you best.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general upkeep of facilities, including drywall repair, carpentry, and painting
- Work with 3-phase power, HVAC systems, chiller systems, compressors, and installation of new equipment and power requirements
- Prepare the plant for freezing weather, ensuring walk areas are deiced and chiller systems are prepped for cold weather
- Complete daily inspections and filter changes for air compressors and dryers, as well as boiler maintenance and PMs, including blow downs and water samples
- Responsible for boneyard 5S, general grounds keeping, plumbing repairs, concrete repairs, and ballast installations
- Assist in running conduit, black pipe, and chiller lines
- Assist the plant electrician in tasks as needed
- Improve and sustain 5S, Lean, and Kaizen programs
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- 3 years of related experience in facilities and/or maintenance with strong knowledge of HVAC systems
- Licensed electrician preferred
- Strong computer experience, including Microsoft Office and CMMS systems
- Ability to accurately close out work orders daily
- Comfortable standing, walking, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and using hands, lifting and/or moving 10 lbs regularly and up to 33 lbs occasionally
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:
- Experience with 3-phase power and electrical systems
- Knowledge of plumbing and carpentry
- Familiarity with Lean and Kaizen principles
- Experience with CMMS systems and work order management
