Key Responsibilities
Moderation
- Review comments on our Thread Articles and on-site articles to ensure they meet our community standards, removing or hiding toxic or excessively negative comments as needed.
- Ban repeat offenders or commenters who display immediate inappropriate or problematic behavior, maintaining a safe and respectful environment for our community.
- Log and report terms and phrases that should be auto-hidden to Page Manager, helping to refine our moderation tools and processes.
- Advocate and encourage accurate information, promoting a culture of fact-based discussion and debate.
Engagement
- React to comments that contribute to the ongoing discussion of the topic/post, elevating high-quality comments and fostering a sense of community.
- Respond to comments to uphold engagement while ensuring accuracy, providing helpful insights and information to our audience.
Database Upkeep
- Help maintain critical game-data, ensuring our pages remain accurate and up-to-date.
Essential Qualifications
- Broad knowledge of major gaming franchises, including the latest developments and trends.
- Good spelling and grammar skills, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Familiarity with Game Rant and its social media platforms, understanding our tone, style, and community norms.
- Experience in community moderation is a plus, but not required – we're happy to train the right candidate!
