Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Virtual High School Teacher to join our team. As an integral part of our school community, you will play a key role in shaping the educational journey of our students. Responsibilities
- Act as the primary instructor in all core content areas and grade levels, ensuring rigorous academic standards are met.
- Strive to achieve student academic and socio-emotional goals, in alignment with state-specific accountability measures.
- Conduct engaging live lessons via web conferences, utilizing research-based instructional strategies tailored to student needs.
- Set up courses within the Learning Management System and provide daily feedback on student assignments.
- Maintain regular communication with students and families, tracking individual progress and addressing any concerns promptly.
- Collaborate with the school principal to create progress reports and analyze student data to inform instructional practices.
- Implement differentiated instruction to cater to diverse learning needs and integrate culturally responsive teaching methods.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student well-being and academic success.
- Participate in school-wide activities, including social events and field trips, both virtually and in person as required.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues, demonstrating professionalism and respect in all interactions.
Qualifications
We are looking for a highly qualified and experienced Virtual High School Teacher who possesses the following qualifications:
- Possession of a current state teaching license in the relevant content area.
- Familiarity with State Standards and Common Core Standards.
- Preferred Minimum Of Two Years' Teaching Experience.
- Comfortable working in a growth-focused coaching environment, with strong communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and supervise students in various settings.
- Successful completion of federal and state criminal background checks.
- Experience working in a multicultural setting is desirable.
