Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join our team at blithequark. As a Senior Financial Accountant, you will play a critical role in our Bookkeeping and Assessment group, responsible for ensuring the accuracy, availability, and communication of financial data that drives our business decisions. Key Responsibilities
- Ensure adherence to company policies, internal and external audit requirements, and local regulations and guidelines
- Support the strengthening of financial processes and controls
- Prepare monthly reconciliations for US GAAP and legal financial reporting
- Provide accounting and financial analysis to senior management and other stakeholders, including identification and analysis of material profit and loss accounts
- Drive continuous improvement across functional areas and adopt a scientific mindset to current processes
- Participate in local, regional, and global projects as required
- Stay up-to-date with regulatory changes in all regions where blithequark operates
Essential Qualifications
- Experience in global accounting and reporting requirements, including US GAAP
- In-depth understanding of financial control requirements, such as SOX 404 requirements
- Strong interpersonal skills and a proven ability to work and influence stakeholders
- Excellent documentation and communication skills, with fluency in English (written and verbal)
- Ability to work with tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities
- Proven ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable with managing and analyzing large volumes of data
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
- Experience working in the industry as a Senior Financial Accountant or in a Big 4 audit firm
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) designation
- Experience with financial planning and analysis, budgeting, and forecasting
- Knowledge of financial systems and software, including ERP systems
