- Perform data entry tasks, including compounding, drug treatment reviews, check, and medicine management
- Review, interpret, and accurately administer prescribed medications when required by responsibility
- Ensure the pharmacy operates in accordance with regulations, organization policies, and standards
- Help the pharmacy manager with establishing procedures that promote the efficient workflow of the pharmacy, including assigning roles, scheduling activities, and requesting colleague ideas
- Keep up with current knowledge on information technology related to pharmacy systems, including workflow, prescription fulfillment, billing, clinical documentation, training, inventory management, and retail location registers
Essential Qualifications
- BS in Pharmacy or Pharmacist Degree from an accredited educational institution
- Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the region
- Experience performing prescription dispensing activities that demonstrate strong knowledge of relevant state and federal controlled substance regulations
- Certified Immunizer or able to become an immunizer in at least 90 days of hire
Preferred Qualifications
- At least 2 years of experience as a pharmacist in a retail setting, including prescription filling and check, records and legal compliance, pharmacy operations, pharmacy software and technology systems, and insurance
