Job Summary
The successful candidate will play a critical role in developing and sustaining coverage, providing departmental insights on performance, and creating data models to solve various quantitative tasks. You will work closely with our technology team on service demands and data warehouse solutions to meet departmental needs. As a Data Analyst and Online Chat Assistant, you will be responsible for making new, changing existing, and performing ad-hoc reporting in support of business processes and data-driven decision making.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain complex data pipelines from source devices to the Data Warehouse, ensuring data integrity and access.
- Create and manage new and existing reports, dashboards, and data visualizations using Power BI and Excel, providing actionable insights to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Monitoring and Business Analysts to understand organization needs, maintain complete documentation, and obtain business sign-offs for all reporting requirements.
- Design, develop, and implement scalable data pipelines and data architecture, utilizing records storytelling principles to generate clear and impactful reports and visuals.
- Partner with IT and business stakeholders to discover, analyze, and acquire new data variables, leveraging data mining techniques to drive business growth.
- Evaluate large datasets to identify relevant patterns, providing actionable results and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Vigorously evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, resolving discrepancies and validating data for formality.
- Research and remediate data errors, participating in the Data Governance course by updating the data dictionary and policies & procedures.
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- 2+ years of experience performing comprehensive data analysis, with a strong background in data modeling and business intelligence development.
- Proficiency in Power BI, with experience working with various reporting objects, such as Dimensions, Measures, Filters, Computed Columns, transformations, parameters, conditional formatting, DAX queries, and interactions.
- Knowledge of DAX, SQL, and M Code, with the ability to write sophisticated SQL to create reports and analytics.
- Experience with ETL tools, such as SSIS, Power BI Dataflows, or other Big Data integrations, with a strong understanding of data warehousing and data governance principles.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with experience in statistical analysis and data visualization, and the ability to communicate complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable:
- Experience with SSMS (SQL Server Management Studio), Power BI, and Power Query, with a strong understanding of data modeling and data architecture principles.
- Familiarity with Smartsheets, with experience in project management and collaboration tools.
- Strong effort in the progression and timely completion of projects and deadlines, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.
