Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Financial Analyst and Data Entry Specialist to join our team on a part-time basis. As a key member of our Global Merchant and Network Services (GM&NS) Pricing team, you will play a critical role in driving business growth through data-driven insights and exceptional customer experience. Your primary responsibility will be to analyze and report on merchant discount income, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement pricing strategies that drive revenue growth and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Create a Canada figure for merchant discount income and track monthly performance against forecast, identifying drivers of change
- Develop merchant discount income scorecards for the Canada region
- Drive standardization and process improvement among the different regional pricing teams for all reporting and forecasting related activities
- Support external audits, including investigating issues found, communicating with regional pricing teams, and managing resolutions
- Perform ad-hoc data analysis to assess discount rate trends and uncover insights
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- 2+ years of experience in financial services or payments industry, or other related financial roles
- A Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or business (or a related field)
- High proficiency in Excel and strong analytical skills, with the ability to develop complex financial models and draw value-added insights from large datasets
- Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., SAS/SQL) is required
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to influence others and build strong relationships
- A strong work ethic and ability to succeed in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment
