We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Data Science Manager to lead our team in developing and implementing strategic plans, analyzing complex data sets, and driving business decisions. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic designs for determined regions, ensuring alignment with business objectives and goals.
- Manage team(s) assigned to projects, providing guidance, support, and oversight to ensure successful project execution.
- Allocate resources efficiently, ensuring that assets are precisely assigned in accordance with strategic plans and properly represented.
- Create programming programs, algorithms, dashboards, data tools, and queries to clean, model, integrate, and assess datasets.
- Stay up-to-date with new scientific techniques and innovations, applying industry-leading best practices to drive business growth.
- Collaborate with functional specialty units to drive business solutions and direction, fostering credibility with partners and managing expectations.
- Develop and manage budgets for practical regions, overseeing financial planning and ensuring that business objectives are met.
- Mentor and develop staff through on-boarding, open communication, training, and development opportunities, ensuring that the team is properly equipped with required skills.
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative, computational, or technical discipline.
- Experience with analysis and statistical software like SQL, R, Python, Excel, Hadoop, SAS, SPSS, and others to perform analysis and interpret data.
- In-depth knowledge of SQL and open-source data science and statistics packages like Python, R, Spark, etc.
- Experience establishing and maintaining key relationships with internal (peers, colleagues, and leadership) and external (business community, clients, and vendors) partners to foster strategies that meet office objectives within budget and timelines.
- At least 2 years of experience contributing to financial decisions in the workplace.
- At least 2 years of direct management, indirect leadership, and/or cross-functional team leadership.
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).
Preferred Qualifications
