About the Role
We're seeking an experienced Data Engineer (L5) - Customer Service to join our Data Science and Engineering team. Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with data engineers, software engineers, and CS business owners to design and implement data pipelines using big data technologies such as Hive, Presto, Spark, and Flink.
- Develop and maintain scalable data architectures that can handle medium to large-scale data sets (10s of millions of records).
- Design and implement data models that are adaptable to changes in source data or business processes.
- Write clean, supportable code in Python or Scala, and advocate for data quality and advanced SQL skills.
- Work with analysts, engineers, and business leaders to develop metrics and prioritize projects autonomously.
- Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and build productive partnerships with cross-functional teams.
Essential Qualifications
- At least 4 years of experience engineering data pipelines using big data technologies on medium to large-scale data sets.
- Strong data modeling skills, with the ability to design structures that are adaptable to changes in source data or business processes.
- Proficiency in Python or Scala, with a passion for writing clean, supportable code.
- Advanced SQL skills and a strong advocate for data quality.
