Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Data Analyst II to join our arenaflex Data Ventures team. As a Data Analyst II, you will be at the forefront of data interpretation and analysis, playing a vital role in unraveling customer behavior through our products. You will be responsible for researching, gathering, and analyzing customer data, transforming raw insights into meaningful recommendations that drive our business strategies. Your creative brain will be behind customer-driven dashboards that capture key performance metrics, enabling our product teams to make informed decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Research, gather, and analyze customer data to identify trends and opportunities
- Develop and maintain customer-driven dashboards to track key performance metrics
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze, assess, and provide insights on customer behavior
- Work with data stewards and data engineering teams to gather and process accurate data from various sources
- Apply expertise in quantitative analysis, data mining, and data presentation to provide actionable insights
- Define and evaluate key performance metrics for new product launches
- Create data visualizations to monitor and measure the impact of product initiatives and business challenges
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Math, Arts, or a related field
- At least 2 years of experience in data analysis, data science, statistics, or a related field
- Strong exploratory data analysis skills and the ability to make data-driven recommendations
- Experience with languages used to manipulate data and extract insights from large datasets (SQL, Python, Presto, etc.)
- Strong storytelling experience with data visualizations in Power BI, Tableau, Looker, etc.
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:
- A Master's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Math, or a related field
- Related industry experience (e.g., retail, marketing, healthcare, e-commerce)
- Successful completion of assessments in data analysis and Business Intelligence tools and scripting languages (e.g., SQL, Python, Spark, Scala, R, Power BI, or Tableau)
Skills and Competencies
To excel in this role, you should possess:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Experience with data quality tools like Google DataPlex (Collibra Data Quality or SAS Data Management or IBM InfoSphere Data Server)
- Experience with quality testing using Selenium, Cucumber, or Tosca
