Key Responsibilities
- Work with large, messy, and disparate datasets to conduct ad-hoc analyses and inform critical business decisions
- Develop ETLs or processes to pull data from multiple locations and centralize it in a single table
- Create data visualizations using Tableau to display and quantify the impact of changes and specific business challenges
- Engage with team members and cross-functional groups on a periodic basis to establish credibility and analyze stakeholder needs
- Partner with Operations, Finance, and Product teams to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and latency across multiple operations and systems
- Leverage scripting languages (Python preferred) to automate tasks related to reporting, such as screenshots, metrics prioritization, and outlier detection
- Document processes and share expertise with colleagues, mentoring them as you become a Subject Matter Expert
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Excellent SQL skills, with the ability to manipulate data from multiple tables while maintaining data integrity (2-4 years of experience)
- Creativity with a User Experience basis to develop impactful Tableau Dashboards (1-2 years of experience)
- Business Operations Fluency, with the ability to understand and root cause business problems, and a Supply Chain background, ideally with transportation experience
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally
- A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field, such as Computer Science, Statistics, or Mathematics
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:
- Advanced experience with SQL and Tableau
- Experience with e-commerce operations or parcel service operations
- Experience with Python or other scripting languages
- Experience with data manipulation tools, including Knime, Alteryx, R, Tableau Prep, etc.
