Key Responsibilities
- Provide impeccable customer service to clients and respond to their inquiries in a timely and professional manner
- Retrieve and verify the correct arrangement of products for customs clearance from databases, SOPs, duty books, the web, or customs
- Perform data entry and processing of various import-related documentation for submission to US Customs and may handle all PGA's (participating Government Agencies)
- Maintain and update all shipment documentation in compliance with all record-keeping requirements
- Comply with all international importing and exporting regulations
- Collaborate with other internal staff, departments, and clients to deliver an elevated level of service
- Process company financier shipments
- May handle remote filings
- Ensure all service and organizational policies are followed
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- A high school certificate or GED
- No industry experience is required, but a minimum of six months of work experience is preferred
- Data entry/console experience is required
- Proficiency in MS Office, Outlook, and office equipment (telephone, fax, scanner, printer, copier)
- Excellent interpersonal skills, both verbal and written
- Organizational skills, time management skills, and the ability to handle a high volume of work
- The ability to work independently with minimal supervision
