Your key priorities will include greeting customers, assisting them with the selection of merchandise, completing transactions, and answering questions regarding the store and merchandise. Key Responsibilities: - Provides customer engagement in a positive and approachable manner, ensuring a welcoming and inclusive environment for all customers. - Assists in maintaining a clean, well-stocked store for customers during their shopping experience, contributing to a safe and secure shopping environment. - Helps in the unloading of merchandise from delivery trucks, organizes merchandise, and transports merchandise from stockroom to sales floor, ensuring efficient store operations. - Independently stocks shelves and recovers merchandise in the store, maintaining a high level of productivity and attention to detail. - Accurately handles customer funds and processes transactions using the POS system, demonstrating a strong understanding of retail operations and customer service principles. - Remains constantly aware of customer activity to ensure a safe and secure shopping environment, responding promptly to customer needs and concerns. - Performs all other duties as assigned in order to maintain an effective and profitable store operation, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to adapt to changing circumstances. The following requirements are preferred: Education: Prefer completion of high school or equivalent. Ability to follow directives and interpret retail operational documents as assigned, demonstrating a strong foundation in reading comprehension and communication skills. Experience: Prefer experience working in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environments, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service and supporting store operations. Physical Requirements: Ability to regularly lift up to 40lbs. (and occasionally, up to 55 lbs.) from floor level to above shoulder height; must be able to meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting, with or without reasonable accommodation. Availability: Ability to work flexible, full-time schedule to include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, demonstrating a commitment to supporting our customers and store operations during peak periods.
