About the Role: Pharmacy Service Representative

We're seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Customer Service Representative to join our Specialty Mail Order Pharmacy team in Orlando, Florida. As a Pharmacy Service Representative, you'll be the primary point of contact for patients, insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal teams. Your superb communication skills will ensure the seamless processing of specialty medications, addressing financial and clinical expectations, and providing personalized care to those who need it most.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and process new patient medication orders and reorders, verifying and reverifying benefits to ensure timely fulfillment.
• Translate and enter new or refill prescriptions into the pharmacy information system, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
• Communicate and collect copay amounts, obtain authorizations, and work with insurance companies to resolve any issues.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers and internal teams to screen, identify, resolve, and defer orders with accounts receivable or clinical issues.
• Provide exceptional telephone support to patients, addressing their concerns and needs in a compassionate and professional manner.
• Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple customer interactions simultaneously.

Essential Qualifications:

• One year of experience in a customer service role, handling and resolving complex customer needs over the phone.
• Proficiency in Windows-based applications, including Microsoft Office, internet navigation, and email applications.
• One year of computer keyboarding experience, with demonstrated skills and aptitude.
• Verifiable high school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Healthcare work experience, with familiarity with benefits, insurance, prescriptions, and medical terminology.
• Knowledge of pharmacy operations and patient care principles.
