Our team is committed to fostering a rich and diverse environment, inclusive and supportive of all students, faculty, staff, and visitors. **Key Responsibilities:** * Provide exceptional customer service to students, faculty, and the general public, responding to inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive experience for all. * Register students via telephone, fax, email, and in person, processing transcript requests, course description requests, certificate audits, and managing wait lists in a timely manner. * Prepare appropriate forms and solve enrollment discrepancies, providing general information to students regarding certificate completion, Concurrent Enrollment, UCSD Student Grant Program, My Extension student portal, veterans benefits, financial assistance, Workforce program, and disabled student services. * Collaborate with DES' technical groups on Tax Relief Act requirements and prepare 1098t's for students as needed. * Serve as a key holder, responsible for opening and/or closing the site, ensuring the security and integrity of our facilities. * Develop and maintain effective working relationships with a wide variety of people, departments, businesses, and associations. * Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge, ensuring the highest level of customer service and support. **Essential Qualifications:** * High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred. * Demonstrated ability to advise students and the general public regarding academic programs, policies, and procedures. * Proven experience providing work direction and training to lower-level employees. * Demonstrated ability to process a large volume of documents rapidly and accurately with close attention to detail. * Skill in project management to organize and prioritize work assignments to meet all site objectives. * Knowledge of standard office equipment and basic computer hardware, and proven working knowledge of computer software, including Word and Excel. * Demonstrated ability to professionally handle stressful and difficult situations, and proven sensitivity to customers' needs and concerns. * Proven ability to interpret established policies and administrative regulations, and make independent decisions to initiate action and follow-through. * Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, including experience in dealing with the public with diplomacy, tact, and flexibility with a diverse customer base. **Preferred Qualifications:** * Experience working in a higher education setting, preferably in customer service or student services. * Familiarity with UCSD's policies and procedures, as well as DES' specific programs and services. * Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines and handling multiple priorities with ease. * Strong data-entry skills and ability to accurately record and monitor expenses and funds. * Experience with audiovisual equipment, including laptops, LCD projectors, and speakers. **Work Environment and Culture:** * This position is fully onsite, with the primary work location at the 8980 Villa La Jolla Drive campus. * arenaflex is committed to fostering a rich and diverse environment, inclusive and supportive of all students, faculty, staff, and visitors. * Our team is passionate about delivering exceptional customer service, and we encourage a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. **Compensation and Benefits:** * Annual Full Pay Range: $33,900 - $72,996 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%). * Hourly Equivalent: $16.24 - $34.96. * arenaflex offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as retirement savings and paid time off. * We also offer opportunities for professional development and growth, including training and education programs, and career advancement opportunities. **How to Apply:** If you are a motivated and customer-focused individual who is passionate about delivering exceptional service, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
