Key Responsibilities
- Respond to telephone and email inquiries from members and providers within defined service standards, ensuring timely and accurate resolution of their concerns
- Negotiate with providers to gain acceptance for plans without network agreements and/or out of network providers, utilizing your excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Assist members with benefits and healthcare questions, providing clear and concise information to empower them to make informed decisions
- Document all calls received in our system-based call log, maintaining accurate and detailed records of customer interactions
- Take initiative to resolve situations and accomplish project actions and tasks, demonstrating your ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Build relationships with internal and external customers, fostering a culture of collaboration and mutual respect
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED, with 2 years of college or higher education preferred
- At least one year of customer service or call center experience in a healthcare-related role, with medical intake or Third-Party Administrator (TPA) experience highly desirable
- Bilingual English-Spanish skills are a plus, as are knowledge of provider organizations and networks, CMS Medicare reimbursement rates, and medical terminology
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft applications and excellent data entry and typing skills
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with claim processing, insurance verification, or pre-certification
- Knowledge of self-funded health benefits and provider office/facility billing department or financial area
