Job Overview and Key Responsibilities As an experienced Airport Customer Service Representative and Ramp Agent at arenaflex, you will be responsible for ensuring that our customers' baggage and cargo are handled safely and efficiently. This is an entry-level position, and our experienced leaders will provide you with the mentorship and support you need to advance your career. Your daily tasks will include: - Safely lifting, loading, unloading, and transporting baggage, mail, and cargo to and from aircraft - Safeguarding cargo, baggage, and mail from damage, loss, and weather - Safely driving and operating ground equipment such as tugs, belt loaders, and tow tractors in areas of congestion - Operating baggage scanners and computers to ensure baggage is routed accurately to the customer's destination - Guiding incoming and departing aircraft from the gate positions to ensure timely connections Work Environment and Schedule As a Ramp Agent at arenaflex, you will work in a fast-paced airport environment, with shifts ranging from early morning to overnight. You will be required to work between 20 and 40 hours per week, depending on your seniority and the operational needs of the airport. You will also be required to work in harsh weather conditions, such as heat, rain, and snow, and to practice safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures. Essential Qualifications To succeed in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications: - A high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency - Be at least 18 years of age and have authorization to work in the United States - A valid driver's license - Proficiency in English - Ability to pass a physical ability test (PAT) - Ability to wear required company-approved Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) - Ability to hold airport-specific requirements such as a SIDA Badge and Customs Seal Preferred Qualifications While there are no preferred qualifications for this role, having previous experience in customer service or a related field can be an asset.
