The Maps SDK team builds the open-source libraries that power our mobile maps. From flagship smartphones to smartwatches, HMDs, and autonomous vehicles, our SDKs run on a diverse range of devices. As an Engineering Manager, you’ll lead the Nav SDK team in advancing the maps and navigation ecosystem at Mapbox. In this role, you will:
Mentor and Develop Talent: Support and inspire engineers, fostering a culture of growth, creativity, and innovation.
Promote Collaboration and Innovation: Build an inclusive and collaborative environment where data-driven decisions fuel success.
Drive Strategic Objectives: Align your team’s work with company and product goals, ensuring strategic cohesion.
Define Product Roadmaps: Partner with Product and Engineering teams to shape the roadmap for our Maps SDKs.
Shape the Vision: Play a key role in envisioning and evolving our rendering engines, contributing to business and product planning.
Leadership Experience: Proven success managing technical teams to deliver impactful products.
Technical Expertise: Familiarity with mobile development frameworks, tools, and best practices for building and deploying mobile apps across platforms.
Talent Acquisition and Development: A track record of hiring and growing top technical talent.
Operational Excellence: Commitment to monitoring, metrics, and continuous improvement processes.
