Key Responsibilities
- Data Analysis and Insights: Recognize potential solutions to business problems through analytics, large data analytics, and automation. Analyze source system data to determine data relationships, plan developments, consistency, and quality.
- Data Modeling and Design: Define social tables, primary and foreign keys, and stored procedures to create a data model design. Integrate data into existing physical data models.
- Expertise and Guidance: Demonstrate state-of-the-art mastery and apply this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans by providing expert advice and guidance to others in the utilization of data and best practices.
- Data Quality and Integrity: Provide data solutions that are accurate, reliable, and easy to access for end clients. Maintain data quality and data integrity in association with data engineers and stage leads.
- Project Management: Give accurate effort estimations and delivery plans for projects and initiatives. Own and back projects from start to finish.
- Collaboration and Communication: Proactively communicate status, issues, and risks to management. Collaborate and work with teams across the association to understand their needs in analytics and create dashboards and reporting to support business capabilities.
- Process Improvement: Create processes and best practices, execute projects, and ensure business needs are being met. Investigate business and production issues.
- Adaptability and Learning: Demonstrate willingness and capacity to learn and apply new technologies rapidly.
Essential Qualifications
- BS/MS in Software Engineering, Engineering Discipline, Statistics, or Information Systems.
- 5+ years of active experience working with large, complex, and diverse datasets in enterprise-scale data warehousing or data engineering environments.
- 5 years of experience in designing, implementing ETL/ELT pipelines to deliver data with quality. Proficiency in Python or comparable technologies is required.
- Experience with modeling tools like ERWIN, Visio.
- 5+ years of experience working with relational SQL and NoSQL databases, Hadoop, Google Big Query, DataPlex, Amazon Redshift, Hive, etc.
- Experience with reporting tools like Scene or Looker is required.
- Experience with orchestration tools like Airflow, Digdag is required.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins and Maven.
- Experience working with JIRA, Confluence, GIT, and workflow management tools.
- Experience working with cloud-based technologies and big data infrastructure.
- Solid understanding of metadata management, data lineage, and data quality using tools like Collibra.
Preferred Qualifications
- Marketing knowledge is a plus.
- Exposure to analytical trends, machine learning, and data science is liked.
- Experience with building analytical solutions relevant to Sales, Finance, Product, and Marketing business units.
- Experience implementing operational best practices, such as monitoring, alerting, approval, and exception handling.
- Ability to combine data into meaningful insights and commitment to creating, executing, and documenting business and technical processes.
- Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to address specific business questions and identify opportunities for growth.
- Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams and influencing them with solutions in a dynamic environment.
