Job Summary
As a Data Analyst - Business Insights & Reporting, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining database queries and data analysis. You will translate large quantities of in-depth data into reports that display the information's overall significance. Your primary goal will be to support the development of new reporting and analytical tools that drive business decisions and improve performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Report Creation: Design, develop, and maintain reports using SQL, Tableau, and Power BI to support business decisions.
- Data Visualization: Create data visualizations to communicate complex data insights to various audiences.
- QA Process: Run QA processes to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
- Data Analysis: Analyze large quantities of data to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
- Reporting Processes: Develop data reporting processes and procedures to ensure timely delivery of daily, weekly, monthly, annual, and ad hoc reporting to management.
- Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot data integrity issues and propose documented solution recommendations.
- Data Conversion: Convert complex data from multiple sources into meaningful, professional, and easy-to-understand formats for various audiences.
- Project Support: Support reporting and analysis on all business initiative projects.
- Process Improvement: Recommend and implement new or modified reporting methods and procedures to improve report content and completeness of information.
- Issue Resolution: Troubleshoot and coordinate resolutions for all issues related to reports supported by the department.
Requirements
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Information Technology, or a related field required. (4+ years of comparable work experience beyond the required years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a bachelor's degree).
- Reporting/Analytic Experience: 2+ years of reporting/analytic experience.
- Power BI/Tableau Experience: 1+ year of Power BI/Tableau development experience.
- SQL Proficiency: Proficiency in SQL and developing efficient, well-performing queries.
Preferred Qualifications
- Statistical Software: Experience in Statistical Software such as R/Python.
- Managed Care Environment: Experience in a managed care environment.
- Medicare Advantage Plan and Claims: Experience in Medicare Advantage plan and Claims.
- Analytical and Problem-Solving Capabilities: Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities with special attention to accuracy and detail.
- Self-Starter: Self-starter with a proven ability to take ownership of job responsibilities and ensure successful completion of all projects and requests.
- Prioritization and Multi-Tasking: Ability to effectively prioritize and multi-task in high-volume workload situations.
