Apple iPhone Software & Hardware Specialist Requirements Our client is a global ministry based in the United States working on MST part time or full time. ISM seeks an Apple | iOSHardware Specialist who can assist existing software development teams to overcome a current operational challenge related to ISMu2019s new FM Digital Radio Mondiale (DRM) delivery system. This role is to activate the iPhone's FM DRM system to allow FM stations to deliver digital files (text, audio, videos, images, .apk, etc) to Apple | iOS devices via FM broadcasts. The current FM DRM receiver solution requires the use of an external USB FM dongle despite the presence of organic FM chip sets within Apple | iOS devices. Client seeks to eliminate this external dongle dependency to eliminate unnecessary cost, logistical burdens, and adoption friction for end users. The Apple | iOS Hardware Specialist will assist the existing FM DRM development team to: u25CF Create custom software to interact with the FM chip set on Apple | iOSsmartphones u25CB Verify that the device has an FM analog chip u25CB If the device has an FM analog chip, determine if the chip has been activated u25CB If not activated, allow users to easily activate the FM analog chip via a simple UI u25CB If activated, allow users to receive and/or download media files (text, audio, video) and other files (.apk, eSIM, etc) u25CF Deliver custom software as an SDK which can be integrated into multiple Apple | iOS apps u25CF Deliver documentation of the custom software to help app developers understand the code in support of future integration into Apple | iOSapps Project Duration: 6 months with possible extension Time Commitment: Part-time role estimated at 15-20 hours and full time 32-40 hours per week
