As a Commercial Insurance Specialist, you will focus on new client growth and expanding the commercial portfolio through prospecting and sales activities, while providing tailored insurance solutions to meet client needs. Responsibilities - Conducting inbound and outbound calls to prospect and proactively build a sales pipeline, developing marketing plans to promote insurance offerings, and contributing to the achievement of sales, profitability, and growth goals - Completing risk assessments and commercial inspections in accordance with underwriting guidelines - Working with clients to review goals, providing risk management advice and recommendations for coverage, completing policy updates, and documenting required changes - Conducting policy reviews to identify changing coverage requirements, responding to client inquiries, resolving complaints, and escalating issues as required - Participating in events to create brand awareness and developing, maintaining, and cultivating community contacts to enhance agency visibility and maximize new business opportunities Skills - Bilingualism in English and French is required - 1 year of experience in personal lines damage insurance - You hold a General insurance license - You are required to have your own vehicle, valid driver's license and insurance - You will travel regularly - This role involves direct contact with clients and/or service providers in their environment - Extended work hours, including evenings and weekends, will be required - You will be subject to a Criminal Record and Consumer History background check as a condition of employment - Proficiency in both English and French is essential to the main duties in this role, including servicing and communicating primarily with majority anglophone and francophone clients, groups, and teams - Having a post-secondary education in a related discipline is an asset Benefits - Employees may also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn additional compensation tied to individual and/or business performance, or other business metrics.
