Our client is seeking a motivated Sales Representative to drive sales growth and strengthen customer relationships within a defined territory. This role is focused on achieving profitability and expanding market penetration by developing new accounts and providing tailored solutions to customers’ needs. The ideal candidate is results-driven, customer-focused, and capable of building strong business partnerships.
Duties
• Promote and secure orders from both existing and prospective customers through a relationship-based sales approach.
• Present and demonstrate products and services, assisting customers in identifying the best solutions for their needs.
• Establish, develop, and maintain strong business relationships within the assigned territory to generate new business.
• Conduct phone calls, in-person visits, and presentations to engage prospective and current customers.
• Research and qualify potential accounts to expand the customer base.
• Prepare effective proposals and quotations for customers.
• Resolve customer problems and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
• Analyze market potential and customer value to prioritize opportunities.
• Provide management with reports on customer needs, challenges, competitive activity, and potential opportunities.
• Stay informed about product applications, market conditions, promotional trends, and competitor activities.
• Represent the company at trade shows and industry events.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• Minimum of one year of sales or service experience in the agricultural industry.
• Post-secondary degree preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify customer solutions.
• Results-oriented, able to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Mechanical aptitude is a plus.
