IT Identity Security Engineer - REMOTE from CST or EST time zones

CNO Financial Group's IT Team is hiring an IT Identity Security Engineer to primarily focus on IT Identity Infrastructure solutions (CyberArk, SailPoint Identity Now, PingOne for Customers, etc.) including Cloud Services (IaaS, PaaS,and Saas). The Information Security Engineer will work hands-on with relevant security tools and processes to support their secure, efficient, and effective use through their lifecycle to help secure CNO's electronic assets and data. This is your opportunity to design, implement, and maintain security tools and technologies for the company and look for ways to optimize system resources to enhance the effectiveness and security of the environment. As an IT Identity Security Engineer, your responsibilities will include: • Participating in projects as required, including analyzing, designing, developing, and implementing security solutions which protect the information assets while enabling business functionality. • Supporting annual projects and deliverables established using company business goals and strategies, as communicated by the CISO and Director IT Security, Identity. • Creating clear engineering diagrams, security analysis, whitepapers, system documentation, presentations, and other deliverables. • Utilizing automation that advances security posture in terms of efficiency and effectiveness. • Planning, designing, implementing, and maintaining identity and privileged identity security-related technologies. • Utilizing software and hardware tools to identify and diagnose problems affecting information security tools and systems providing 2nd and 3rd tier operational support. • Providing information security expertise and consulting to internal IT, business system owners, and other stakeholders. • Performing product and solution life cycle management ensuring capacity, integrity and availability of all security systems. • Aligning technologies to support the overall strategy and information security framework. • Ensuring new and existing products conform to information security policies, standards, and best practices. • Conducting research on emerging technologies in support of enterprise operations. • Reviewing new and existing system designs for compliance with security standards and best practices. The IT Identity Security Engineer position is well-suited for you if you: • Have experience with systems and network administration and an understanding of security concepts, practices, procedures, and information security technologies (e.g., virus detection, firewall, content filtering, VPNs, IDS/IPS). • Understand information security policies, standards and regulatory requirements, optimization of processes, and automation technologies. • Possess cloud service knowledge and experience with common cloud services (Infrastructure as a Services, Platform as a Service or Software as a Service). What you'll need: • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Information Systems/Business or related field, or equivalent professional experience • Typically requires a minimum of 3 years of experience in cybersecurity or related technical discipline (infrastructure, etc.) • Demonstrated strong communication and collaboration skills What will set you apart: • The ability to present to diverse size groups and translate security technologies and concepts to a non-technical audience. • A passion for staying up to date on emerging technologies and industry trends • Prior experience in highly regulated organizations. Associates who live outside of a 60-mile radius of a corporate office (Birmingham, Carmel, Chicago, Orlando and Milwaukee) may perform this role full-time work from home (WFH) from any US based location, as long as you are willing to work central or eastern time zone hours. All associates may be asked to travel to varying corporate offices periodically. Work cannot be performed from outside of the United States.
