Independent Travel Agent (1099 Contractor) – Remote (United States)
About the Role Castle Escapes Travel is seeking motivated and detail-oriented Independent Travel Agents to join our remote team. As an advisor with Castle Escapes Travel, you’ll help clients plan vacations to destinations including Walt bolthires World, Disneyland, bolthires Cruise Line, Universal Orlando, major cruise lines, all-inclusive resorts, and custom European itineraries. We are a boutique, service-focused agency — not an MLM — and there are no recruiting or downline requirements. This is a true independent contractor opportunity for individuals who want to grow their own client base with the support of an established travel brand. Key Responsibilities • Consult with clients to understand travel goals, budgets, and preferences • Create and present customized quotes and itineraries • Book and manage vacation packages, cruises, and resort stays through preferred supplier portals • Monitor and apply eligible promotions for client reservations • Provide ongoing support and communication before, during, and after travel • Maintain accurate records and follow agency processes • Stay up-to-date on destination and supplier training Qualifications • Strong communication and organizational skills • Self-motivated and able to manage tasks independently • Proficiency with computers, online booking tools, and basic CRM systems • Professional, reliable, and client-service focused • Ability to work evenings or weekends as needed for client support Preferred Background • Prior experience as a travel advisor, or significant personal travel experience • Knowledge of bolthires, Universal, cruises, or all-inclusive resorts • Familiarity with supplier training platforms or certifications Requirements • Must reside in the United States and be eligible to work as an independent contractor (1099) - we can not hire candidates from WA or HI. • Reliable internet connection, computer, and smartphone • Commission-only compensation (paid after client travel by suppliers) • Willingness to complete onboarding and supplier training • State seller-of-travel laws may apply and restrict participation in certain states Compensation & Support • Commission-only pay structure with competitive splits based on performance • Ongoing training, mentorship, and access to supplier programs • No sales quotas and no recruitment requirements • A small technology or CRM access fee may apply (disclosed during interview) Why Join Castle Escapes Travel • Established agency with a reputation for exceptional client service • Access to preferred suppliers and destination training • Supportive, collaborative team culture • Freedom to build your own client base and brand within our agency How to Apply Please include the following with your application: • A short note describing your travel interests or specialties (for example: bolthires, cruises, all-inclusive, Europe) • A current resume or summary of travel experience • Optional: any links to professional social media or travel-related content Equal Opportunity Castle Escapes Travel is proud to be an equal opportunity organization.
