Government Relationship Builder / BD Specialist- US ONLY Title: Government Business Development Specialist - Contracting Officer Relationships Description: We're looking for a relationship-focused government business development specialist who can help a certified SDVOSB build connections with contracting officers and procurement decision-makers in Florida and the Southeast. About Our Client: Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) Roofing, remediation, restoration, and demolition services Florida-based, targeting federal, state, and local contracts Strong technical capabilities but new to government relationship building What We Need: Someone who understands how to build relationships with contracting officers BEFORE solicitations are released Experience with proactive business development (not just reactive bidding) Knowledge of industry days, pre-solicitation conferences, and networking opportunities Connections to federal/state/local procurement offices in Florida or Southeast Understanding of small business office outreach strategies Scope: Develop a relationship-building strategy and target list Identify key contracting officers and small business liaisons for our NAICS codes Coach client on outreach methods, introductory emails, and follow-up Potentially make warm introductions where appropriate Ongoing advisory (5-10 hours/month) Ideal Candidate: Former contracting officer, small business liaison, or government BD professional Existing relationships in federal agencies (VA, DOD, GSA) or Florida state/local government Experience in construction, facilities, or emergency services procurement Understanding of SDVOSB set-aside opportunities Budget: TBD To Apply: Please describe your government relationships and BD experience, any existing connections relevant to construction/restoration procurement, and your approach to building contracting officer relationships for new-to-government clients.
