**Experienced Senior Accountant – Remote Bookkeeping and Financial Reporting**

At blithequark, we believe that everyone deserves access to the best products and services, and we're committed to making that a reality. **About the Role** As a Senior GL Bookkeeper, you will play a critical role in driving financial reporting and process improvement across our organization. You will work closely with our Bookkeeping team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, identify areas for process improvement, and implement changes to drive efficiency and effectiveness. You will also collaborate with our FP&A team to provide financial insights and support business decision-making. **Key Responsibilities** * Plan and prepare journal entries and monthly account reconciliations for specific areas of the general ledger * Own the monthly close cycle for ourselves and external entities for assigned functional areas * Ensure financial records are maintained for Management and GAAP combined financial statements using accepted methodologies * Assist in providing expectations to external auditors on annual reviews and quarterly surveys * Communicate with FP&A, functional partners, and external stakeholders on significant accounting matters * Conduct special investigations and projects to further our cycle improvement initiatives **What We're Looking For** * Self-motivated and independent individual with a "make it happen" attitude * Strong business acumen and process-oriented thinking * Data-driven and detail-focused with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail * Excellent communication, oral, and written skills, with strong proficiency in English * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively * 2+ years of relevant accounting experience * Strong knowledge of US GAAP, PCAOB principles, SOX/internal controls * Experience with NetSuite, Coupa, GSuite preferred * Bachelor's degree in Accounting, CPA certification an asset * Strong Excel skills, with the ability to manage and process large amounts of data **Why You'll Love Working at blithequark** * We're pioneers – We believe in empowering our team members to take ownership and lead the way. * We're administrators – We believe in building solutions to drive our organization and industry forward. * We're students – We believe in continuous learning and growth, and we're committed to staying ahead of the curve. * We're one team – We believe in collaboration and teamwork, and we're passionate about making a difference together. **About Our Culture** At blithequark, we're committed to creating a culture that is inclusive, diverse, and supportive.
