Job Overview In this exciting role, you will be responsible for performing tests, investigations, and evaluations for RF SOC IP, working closely with the RFIC design team to ensure the highest quality and performance of Apple's wireless products. Your expertise in RF test development, investigation, and characterization will be essential in driving the success of this role. You will have the opportunity to work with state-of-the-art RF test equipment, including network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and vector signal analyzers, and develop scripts to automate tests using programming languages such as Python, Perl, or C++. Key Responsibilities Run bench tests and investigations of RF SoC IP, including transmitters, receivers, PLL, power amplifiers, ADC/DAC, crystal oscillators, and PMU Investigate chip-level or board-level desense and EMI issues Develop scripts to automate tests using an improvement environment Perform RF system characterization, including EVM, error vector magnitude, phase noise, and other radio metrics Design external matching networks to improve Tx/Rx radio performance Produce RF design/check/test reports Collaborate with RF systems and integration teams on RF board design, test interface approach, and software development Synchronize radio register settings between simulation environment and test environment Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, and at least 3+ years of relevant industry experience in RF test development, investigation, and characterization. You should have a strong foundation in RF principles and experience with RF test equipment, including network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and vector signal analyzers. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Perl, or C++ is also required.
