Job Responsibilities As a Product Designer for Netflix Games, you will be responsible for leading the design of our gaming experiences and working closely with our cross-functional teams to bring our vision to life. Your responsibilities will include: Developing a strong design perspective and unifying the organization around a shared vision Identifying, defining, and driving design initiatives and product features from concept to launch Collaborating with a small team of designers and cross-functional partners to explore, test, and evolve community gaming experiences on Netflix Working with internal and external game studios to design and implement new platform features that can be used at scale Own the start-to-finish design process, from blue sky design exploration to UX specs and high-quality UI designs, while working closely with cross-functional partners to balance polish and speed towards a successful execution Building and maintaining positive relationships and collaborations with partners and stakeholders Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to have: Proven leadership and strategic ability to drive initiatives and projects A reputation for creative and technical excellence, strategic thinking, customer obsession, and business acumen A deep understanding of gaming social mechanics, user expectations, behavior, and trends around building communities and connecting with others Multiple successful game platform products/feature launches that drove significant impact on player experiences and the business A deep understanding of game development processes, technologies, and gaming industry trends The ability to keep a sharp understanding of what motivates users and evangelize that knowledge across the organization The ability to independently navigate, dissect, and build complex problems A demonstrated commitment to inclusivity and making space for diverse communication styles Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: Experience with A/B testing and using data to inform design decisions Experience with Figma and working with established design systems Skills and Competencies To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong set of skills and competencies, including: Excellent design and communication skills The ability to work independently and as part of a team A strong understanding of user experience and user interface design principles The ability to think strategically and drive design initiatives A passion for gaming and a desire to create new and exciting experiences for users Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Netflix, we are committed to helping our employees grow and develop their careers.
